  • Why is citroen recommending a timing belt change on their website at 62.5k miles?

Hi everyone, I’m looking at getting my DS3 2011 dsport 110 hdi serviced next month, so I’ve been checking out costs for this. When I went on the citroen website, put in my reg, it was recommending a timing belt change at 62.5k miles? I’m sure my service book says 110 or 150k miles for the engine? Which one is right?

      Recommended but not compulsory.

Ask them to visually inspect it before carrying out any recommended work and you'll be fine

In my experience it can be a timed replacement (for e.g. every 5 years) or a mileage replacement, say every 100k miles whichever comes first

You could call your dealer and ask for their view on it My local dealer was always happy to talk through options.
