    Hi..hope someome can assist, doing this on behalf of my missus, car is 2010 DS3 sports 150 thp .
    The following came up.."Engine management system fault" and the "service" sign comes on.(by the way no loss of power or anything like that)
    She took the car into local garage and the following codes came up.
    P0693-Main fan assy(GMV2) low speed control fault
    P0691- Main Fan assy (GMV2) high speed control fault
    P2603 electric coolant pump open circuit
    P0695- Additional fan under bonnet control fault
    The local garage said they would have to contact Citroen to see what the codes meant..Missus then took the car into Citroen dealer where she bought the car, Citroen guy had a look at the printout from the local garage and said oh yeah the fan(s) have burnt out etc..cost around £800 to repair he said without even looking at the car.

    Anyway I decided to have a look as I am pretty handy techie wise...took the connector off the radiator fan and the fan windings read 44 ohms(maybe it was 54 ohms, cant quite remember) so that isnt open circuit, there is a 20 amp fuse according to the handbook, that to is okay, i then took the radiator fan relay off(resistor) and have to say it looks very much the worse for wear, it seems mighty corroded
    and almost like it has been overheating..so put my meter acroos the 2 large terminals on the relay and they show that as open circuit(dont know if thats correct) the terminal plug that goes into these two connections on the relay shows 12 v. so..
    1 has anyone had this problem before?
    2 at a guess i would say the realy(resistor ) is shot!!!
    3 I can see the first 2 faults appearing if the relay was shot but what about the others?
    4 what is this "additional fan control fault."
    5 are they all connected in some way to the defective relay..
    6 and to top it all the air con doesnt work ..I topped up the refrigerant (system was empty) but air con still doesnt come on.
    I realise there are a lot of questions but all help would be much appreciated..

    There are two fans, AFAIK. The standard coolant/radiator fan and a smaller one that pushes air through the air-con condenser (or maybe it's for the intercooler? I can't remember now )

    The electric coolant pump circulates coolant through the turbo jacket.

    Mine had a bit of a mal last year where the air con made a funny noise and then stopped working. I took it to my local Citroën agent as it was still under warranty and they told me they replaced the gas, replaced the electric coolant pump and said it was all good again.

    And it has been. I didn't, however, get any messages or service lights come on.

      Yeah your quite correct there are two fans..just to update, I did buy a new fan control module, and slaved it in but still the same..but put my meter on the fan plug(radiator) and have 11.5volts across the two terminals in the plug,
      again tried my meter across the fan motor terminals(windings) themselves and have 45 ohms..so with 11.5 v across the fan plug I would have expexted the fan to run with the plug connected..anyway so I am pointing to the fan maybe duff so I will make up a liitle test lead and connect them to the fan and the battery and see if it runs.
