  • Back Box Replacement, easy?

    Afternoon Guys,

Has anyone here done their own back box swap out?
After the shenanigans with my exhaust dangling off etc I got a good look under the car and I wondered how easy it would be to fit a better looking and sounding exhaust without a full system change, has anyone had a crack themselves?

    Cheers

biggest concern would be putting it on ramps to sort it

Now- if you had a garage with a pit..... we looked at a lovely bungalow in Hassocks 4 year ago, double garage and a pit!!!!!!!

Wife wasn't impressed. We didn't move there :-(

Cheers, is it all one piece or will I have to cut the pipe?

If its just the back box you want, you will have to cut the pipe and get a reducer joint, as not sure what size pipe your VTI exhaust will be
From what i recall the OEM THP Dsport was 54mm pipe, my Bastuck was 63.5mm pipe

The complete bastuck system (Cat back) was £900 plus the install and without a mid res

Or maybe just go to one of these exhaust specialist "Powerflo" or something like that and see what they say re a back box

Ive just sold my DSport backbox, and complete exhaust system, as that would have done you a trick

                  There we go

No mater what you get, backbox only or cat back, you will have to cut the pipe on the original exhaust to get it out.
