  • Running rough and wierd wires from ecu?

    Hey all,

I boughed a thp 150 this week and been working on it for 3 days without a break.
I had some problems like mirrors bot folding back, fan shunt that was burned out, etc.

Now the problem is that the car is running rough sometimes. I do get code p1134, 1337 and 1340. I've been told the valves need cleaning but that was already done 10000 km ago. I now have 48000km.
I also did have a error code telling me the fuel pressure in the intake rail was low. But this was fixed with replacing the battery.

I'm also wondering what the wire coming from the ecu could be. Is this standard when the car gets mapped or? When i disconnect the cable the ecu is withou any power and wont start the car, etc.
I added pictures where the cable connects to.

The ecu must have a broken connection in the plug. Have a closer look at pins on the ecu, you'll probably find one is missing(broken off). This wire is just a cheap repair.

You we're right, i boughed a replacement with bsi and key. I dont trust dodgy wiring. I also boughed a new hpfp as it is the only thing i can think of causing the engine to run so rich. If that doesn't do it ti could only be a bad flywheel sensor or pinking sensor (don't know where it's located though). Checked the valves using an endoscope and they are not dirty so thats good news.
