I sometimes get a godawful noise when pulling away. It would appear to be something to do with the clutch? Happens more so if bringing clutch up slower.Doesn't do it every time just now and then. It sounds like pulling away with the handbrake on strong grinding noise.
Local dealer has heard it and they said they can strip the clutch down to find out if clutch OR gearbox. If it is covered under warranty no problem but, obviously, it may not be and therefore could cost a small fortune. If it's not a warranty job then I would rather take it to a cheaper good quality garage.
The car is just past it's original 3 year warranty and has a Citroen approved extension warranty 'til 2nd Sept. Car registered 27th July 2013, brought second hand 2nd Sept 2015. It now has 24000 miles but has made the noise for quite a while, had 14500 when brought.
Any ideas?
