  • ECU rror codes after minutes of installing new intercooler

    Hi Guys,

    I've just installed my new airtec intercooler, haven't touched any sensors, The car was awesome, more responsive, but after 3 startups in an hour (going to get some food, change a tyre and get some gas, there are2 error codes, and a message to go to the dealer to fix a motor problem, one is the error P0030, power train, h02s heater control circuit, and the other was somthing similar but with the o2 sensor, does anybody know if it's a common issue after installing a new fmic? I've tried erasing the codes but they appear again.

        Thanks Mark.A, I tried resetting the ECU, then everything was OK, drove the car a few kilometers, everything OK, then went to eat something and when started the engine, the errors turn on again, I guess it's something as the error caused by the downpipe, I'm no expert but if the sensor had a fault I suppose the error must be permanent.
        Any expert advice? I'm going to try remapping the car this weekend.

            That or another O2 sensor along the way.

            Resetting the ECU means the fault code isn't logged. After a few KM driving it's obviously picked up that it's seeing a value from a sensor outside of it's expected threshold and that's what's being flagged as the fault.

            Get it to a garage to diagnose where the fault is being picked up. From there you'll either need to have the value mapped out so the sensor isn't checking values, or alternatively get the thresholds increased/decreased by your mapper.

                Bank 1 sensor is pre cat lamba Before the cat bank 2 sensor is post lamba after the cat

                  Thanks guys, today I called a local etuners dealer, he sends the files to Argentina and in a few days I should have a new map, hope it solves the problem.

                    Just to comment if anyone have this error in the future, when I installed my 2.5" downpipe, the error was gone, it seems that there was to much O2 in the intake. It's my 2 cents.

                        Just changing to an aftermarket downpipe made the error disappear. The next day I also remapped my car to a Stage 2 with the help of a local etuner vendor. My flasher never worked...

                            The aftermarket Down pipe cuses the error the sensor is there to tell us , hay you make too much pollution.
                            what scares me is that you saw more errors after intercooler installation ??

                            I am about to get my Airtec soon, the car will get a remapp any how but I didnt know that the aftermarket inter will cause errors on the ecu .
