  • CD player & USB wait icon

Hi. Just picked up a 13 plate ds3 Dsport+ Yesterday and I'm loving it.

I'm having some issues with playing CD's and music on a USB stick. The radio keeps saying wait with a sand timer and I've left it on until economy mode kicks in 30 mins later. I can't understand why this isn't working.

I have tried searching on here for an answer and looking in the manual but I can't seem to find the issue.

Please could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong/how to fix

    Thanks, Ben

Maybe the file format is not supported.

Try playing around with MP3, WAV, AAC, etc. to see if any of those work

Files on the memory stick are in folders then I'm MP3 format.

The discs are Cd'S from the shops and mp3 c3's and it's still showing wait with the sand timer:/

I would try WAV files for sure then. A lot of CD players don't like MP3

How many files are on the USB and CDs?

The system does take a moment to compile the data and the more of it the longer it takes.

I would suggest you empty the USB and place on it a single album to test, that way we can be sure whether there is a fault or not.

If i remember correctly, the memory stick I use is 16gb and it had to be in fat 16 or fat 32 format and the music had to be in mp3 format, mp4 will not work.
The eggtimer does rotate sometimes when selecting from radio to usb but I ping the button on the end of the stalk about a second after the eggtimer starts to rotate and it starts working

It's a 32gb stick in fat 32 format. Will try hitting the button on the stalk and try a 2gb stick with one album on it and see.

Any ideas on why it's doing the same thing for cd's?

If you take the fuse out would it reset the radio? Are these coded/where are the codes?

Thanks for your help so far, just want it sorted as I miss being able to play full albums when jumping straight into the car, Bluetooth is quite fiddly.

              Thanks, Ben

The radios are coded but to the ECU I think, therefore disconnecting the battery is fine as you won't need to put a code in when you restart it.
