  • Esp/asr system fault and no cruise control

Hi guys! I'm new here and I will start my first post with a bad thing. I've been living with the esp/asr system fault for 4 months and anyone knows what is causing the problem! They tried the clutch and brake pedal sensor but the problem remains. Other thing that I realized is that the cruise control is not working no matter what. No abs fault apparently. Any ideas? I aprecciate any comment that could help.
    Best!!!

    Hi Matteovv,

I'm sure you will introduce yourself eventually.

    Who are "they"?

The cruise likely doesn't work because of a fault with either the brake pedal switch (which is under the glovebox) or the clutch pedal switch (which is on the clutch pedal).

Sadly, the ESP/ASR fault will probably be a dead pressure sensor inside the ABS unit, but it could be a simple ABS sensor on a wheel (there are 4).
    Regards,

Hi, many thanks for your quick answer! "They" are the mechanics, they replaced the brake and clutch switches but it didn't solve the problem. The ODB scanner is saying something like "communication error" and doesn't show anything specific. The ABS sensor they have check and it seems okay. How can I know if it could be a "dead pressure sensor" inside the abs unit? Is it possible to repair or I will need to change the entire abs unit? Thanks again, I am sure here in the club tou guys can help me

Other thing, sometimes when they delete the error using the ODB scanner the esp/ars fault disappear for few days, like 3-5 days and then it comes back
