Service symbol

Is it possible to switch off the spanner service symbol on the dashboard. I have a code reader. Is there a "trick" or will the code reader remove it.

Do not need the code reader. Look in the handbook that came with the car. The instructions are in it.

I would add have a service with that as well



Press and hold down the trip counter button and then turn on the ignition.
