Been looking at a bluefin instead of a custom tune as dont have any mods done to the car yet, have anyone used one before? Interested to know as my friend swears by them and adds that there plug and play incase any warranty issues.

Any ideas on what to do?

    Thanks in advance

From visiting their website it doesn't look like they offer Citroen chips at all, not even Peugeot chips (same engine as pug 207/8).

I would say that a plug and play chip invalidates warranty just as much as a remap - if you have an accident or issue while using it, then the engine parameters were outside of factory settings thus voiding warranty.

If I was looking for tuning an engine, I'd go to a specialist with experience with your model who can test it on a dyno and fine-tune the map to your specific car. Much more reassuring than a generic chip which is mass-produced and tested on cars like yours, but not your own.

Yeah, I'd always opt for a bespoke tune rather than a chip.

That said, if you're after advice on them I've not heard anything direct from any users

I have attached a screenshot off information from there website, not much is said about it except what you will get, pretty steep for a generic map to be honest.

Think this has made my mind up as i originally thought, was just that my friend has had 4 now and says this are safe and really good.Click image for larger version
