Advice needed - ESP/ASR P0234 (overboost) Fault Code 1.6 E-HDI
Help!
Driving home from work earlier and there was a beep accompanied by a warning message with esp/asr engine problem message. Wouldn't rev over 3000rpm or something and wouldn't let me turn the esp off by the switch. Turned the car off when I got home and drove it later and it's just showing engine fault: repair needed. The service light is no longer on but the check engine and the message is still there, can drive it normally now but not sure if this is damaging the car somehow by driving it.
Plugged it into a elm327 and torque (app) is showing a fault code P0234 "turbo/super charger overboost condition"
Is it fine to drive normally? I've read somewhere that putting a bottle of redex in 5 litres of fuel fixes it.
Unsure what the fault actually is and how much it's going to cost.
