Has this issue caused you financial loss? If so then I would ask to be compensated if this is the result of a garage's work.

If not, I would ask them to rectify the issue by unscrewing the jubilee clip, mounting it correctly, cleaning up any mess so that I could move on with my life.

It was most likely put on okay but the clip might have not been tight enough, pressure through the system has probably caused this to "pop".

Simple fix which I'm sure your dealer will be happy to sort, dare say there will be a red face in the workshop and fun making!

Seconded... I would look at claiming back time and expenses too like the fuel cost for going back and forth from the garage and your time for having to discuss such a matter.

Good point. I would suggest claiming the time spend typing the query here on this forum and make a joint claim as well diagnosing this fault, because this mistake has cost us time and money answering.

I'm in. With my minutely rate, this should be a fun one.
