For anyone considering getting a terraclean induction service. Approximately 1k miles ago I got a terraclean induction service. It made little noticeable difference...

SPTuning has just properly sorted them out so I thought I'd share the condition my valves were in after the terraclean induction service but before the walnut blast:

6 of my valves were a total mess

See the small shiny areas? Apparently it isn't normal to have those, so it seems the terraclean did touch them a bit.

The terraclean doesn't do anywhere near enough to clean the valves. Go for a walnut blast

And that is the evidence we have all been after when peeps have waxed lyrical about Terraclean.

Out of interest, how much milage had the engine done before the terraclean?

      Nice post

Proof if ever it's been needed - that Jamies walnut blasting is by far the best there is. What engine have you got Trotters?

Mine had 27k on when it had its first walnut blast, to be honest your valves are a lot cleaner than i would have expected.

Is walnut blasting purely for you guys with petrol engines? can it/ is there any need to do it on a diesel?

Think it's only for the THP as it's a direct injection engine. Diesel will probably benefit more from a DPF clean.

Just treat it with decent diesel (i would say all the time) but now and again works, diesel treatment too and they never skip a beat.
