THP Air Intake.

Only had my THP a couple of weeks and was wondering..Should there be anything joining the cold air intake feed to the air filter intake. Seems a bit of an odd design..

White on red THP
Miltek exhaust with HKS highflow cat, Forge intercooler, hard pipe kit, induction kit, oil catch tank, , VAG BOV, Stage 3 SPT remap 217 BHP
