ashtray light

had the car for a week or two now and realised that the footwell lights arent working. i noticed that the ashtray light flashes 2 or 3 times brightly and then thats it. im guessing thats demonstrating some kind of fault? the interior light works so i think that means the F7 fuse is ok. any ideas what the flashing means?

What light intensity is the dash on? They go out on the lowest and off setting.

Yeh I tried cycling through all that. my dash is on full brightness

The flashing ashtray light means one of the footwell lights are gone or on the way out, I had the same problem with mine yesterday, changed the bulbs and they started to work again

i replaced the bulbs.. turned out both where gone. when i checked them they appeared to be fine, the element looked ok, but they must have both blown. or someone had replaced them with the wrong bulb possibly. who knows. all working now
