  • Driver seat cable broken

    Hi All,

I lifted the handle on the driver seat and the cable inside snapped. Priced the cable at the local dealers and its going to cost a whopping £600 to repair it and that's just the part!!!!! :-(
My car is still within the warranty of three years but has gone over the mileage allowance. I just need to find out if this is a common problem?

    Thanks in Advance :-)

Contact customer care and tell them your problem, Its a known fault with the DS. 02476 884 000.

Let me know how you get on, I can help you once contact has been made and case opened...

If your car is still in warranty then it should be covered irregardless of mileage.

If your car is over two years old and over 60K then its not, But you should ask for Goodwill

It's not a common problem but is due to misuse of the use where is has been forced.

That said it is worth speaking to your dealer about a repair under warranty, otherwise your best bet is to just replace the seat from a salvage.
