THP revs high on startup.

Hi guys,

I have noticed that recently when I start my THP that is idles at around 1200 revs and sound loud and a bit unhealthy. When turning the engine off it stops with a loud clatter. On restarting it starts normally 95% of the time and revs at its usual 900ish rpm.

Any ideas if this is anything significant?

I've had this occasionally after leaving the car standing for a few hours following a hard thrash. If you leave it for a couple of seconds the revs drop down again. Alternatively restarting the engine seems to resolve it.

Not sure of the cause but I don't see it as a significant enough fault to worry about.

Ok cheers, I wasn't too concerned as it hasn't affected the driving at all.
