  • Play in Macpherson strut top mounts

    Hello,

Just had a MOT & Service, and I have a advisory with my suspension and wondered if anyone else has experienced the same thing with their DS3s?

    The specifics:

'Macpherson strut has slight movement at the upper attachment nearside and offside front'

'Both front strut top mounts have very slight play'

And they say to get if fixed in 6-12 months time. Is this a common thing with DS3s? Is it due to those devilish speed bumps!?

    Thanks in advanced guys!

Common problem, had some play on mine before i switched to the DS3R suspension.
Used to own a C2 VTS and then a C2 by Loeb (which my dad drives now). Both had their top mounts replaced after around 110k (both had it at around the same time). These were worn out completly, the inside of one was ripped from the mount itself.
It begins to show at around 60-70k (depending on how you drive it). They are the same as the ones from a C2 (almost) so i was expecting this problem...
