  • Thp cold start issue

Hello, i have a 2011 150thp ds3 with 72000km (48000 miles). Issues started abou a month ago. When i started it in the morning the revs jumped on them the revs dropped and the car usualy turned off by itself. Then i wa gone for 2 weeks and after that i came in the car and it said economy mode on the radio and the car started normaly. After a fee hours when i went back home i acceleeated and the car went in to limp mode, i freaked out and called the tow truck and took it took it to the service. They called me the next morning and said the battery was almost dead. (Had the first one from the factory ao it was due to be replaced soon) it was "ok" since then. The car shook for a second when started then it was ok. It gradualy got worse after that every day. I started it today the revs droped and the car shook violently, i drove out the drive way and at about 2000 rpm the csr shook so much the olastics rattled, and when i pressed the throtle more the car backfired from the exhaust and had little power. After the car warmed up it was okay, it didnt went in to limp mode. Im extremely anxious about what it could be. Do you guys think its the carbon build up ? I havent had it cleaned before.

Sounds like it, had this on mine to. I also replaced the high pressure fuel pump and all was fixed. Mine i due for a new timing chain and gears, etc. Also going to replace the cam phaser and valve... These 150 do tend to cost alot of money and the fix is just to install newer parts (RP numbers from citroen which are normally fitted on the 156 and 165).
