  • K03 power

    Aite,

    I have a 2014 155 THP, which coming down from a 2l turbo, I need a bit more power .

I have a fear about blowing the.engine up in search of additional ponies, seeing as it's relatively small. Am I right in saying that the stock k03 will take around 200bhp and around 260 foot poonds of torque? I remap alone seems to.hit around 190bhp by the looks of it and roughly 220 foot poonds of torque. Would it be best to upgrade the clutch or belt on a 25k mileage car prior? Or would I be OK to leave it as it is and look further into internal upgrades further down the line if I'm feeling a potential stage 2?

    Hi there, welcome along.
    Common mods are:

Remap + induction kit + exhaust + intercooler (Airtec/Cupra/whatever you want) ~ 200 bhp, not sure about torque

    Some further popular mods are:

Sachs or similar clutch, WMI system, oil catch can(s), forged pistons, forged rods, different cam profiles, hybrid turbo, Torsen/Quaife LSD, uprated injectors, uprated spark plugs/coils ~ Probably good to 250-300+ bhp, 260+ lb/ft torque (depending on which turbo you stick in)

I'm sure a THP expert will elaborate and point out any I've missed. The stock clutch will hold the base remap with supporting mods, but will start slipping beyond that.
