1.6 165 thp start up sound

Hiya, can anyone help. Ive just recently bought a ds3 165 1.6 thp, and when I start it up and rev it, it maks a whining really fast tapping sound as it comes off the revs..... is this normal?

I'm sure you can appreciate why. When I go to the bathroom, my stomach sometimes make a noise that could be described as a grumbling but at other times can sound like an old man shouting. Is this normal?

That happens with mine. I have recently just bought my THP 155 and every time I rev it and let the revs come down, it sounds like there is a stone rattling throughout the car. Took it back to dealer and they said they didn't hear anything and everything seemed fine. Although I'm sure they are just wanting to wait until my warranty is over and then turn around and say its all of these problems and it's going to cost £££££

Exactly, It's a total scam, only took it to them because it's still under warranty. Otherwise, I would have stayed clear of them.

Your right. Best persisit, maybe get an independant report- RAC or AA maybe

Err... you know the dealer get paid regardless if the job is warranty or not?

Actually it's better that the job is under warranty as the chances of getting the dealer getting the job is greater.

A little more if you will;

Cold start only or even when warmed through?

How long until the noise settles?

Any smoke from exhaust?
