Maximum Width of tyres?

Would any one know the maximum width of tyres that can be fitted to the DS3?

I have 17" Bellone alloys and the standard tyre size is 205 45 R17.

I have some winter tyres that I used to use on a C4 that are 225 45 R17.

The tyre will fit on the rim but are the tyres too wide for the wheel arches?

Fouling of under shields?

You can comfortably get 215s on there. 225 might fit, as you can use 10mm wheel spacers on the Bellones with normal tyres without anything catching on the outside. Inside may be a different issue though.

There is also the issue of the tyres possibly overhanging the wheels too, as the width is nearly an inch more than designed.
