Only way is to replace it i think. You can't really paint it to look good or match the other panels.
To bad it's right hand drive, i have a panel that i had to replace because of my smeg install. But that is is left hand drive...

If you have a smaller lcd screen you should be able to find one at a breaker without a problem, and they aren't that expensive. Boughed all the dash panels for 50 quid (70euros), it's now looking good in carbon design .

Not to sure about the removing side of it, but you can find these on eBay if your not able to get it out and have it looking decent, just a quick look but found one here:

You may be able to keep searching and find out cheaper though, be sure to check condition and so on but can easily solve this one.

Mark.A put a guide up for changing the screen, and it shows how to take the dash off: here

Wow, actual proof that some air fresheners can damage the plastics Sorry for you, I've read a few times that some air fresheners say to not allow them in contact with plastic trim - now I know why.

I agree with the above posts, fitting a new panel will be the best way to resolve...

          Good luck

Yes. Air fresheners should Not be allowed to touch any of the cars surface. They can be lethal to the materials finish.
Sadly I don't think you can do anything in this case other than replacing the effected part.

You should be able have the panel SMART repaired so it's worth calling a local specialist.
