Temprature Gauge Problems

Hello there,

On my VTI120 automatic, I seem to have an erratic temperature gauge. It takes a long time to go half way up, and then periodically, it drops back down at random to near zero. Sometimes it never happens, but more often than not it is erratic. It has never gone to the high/overtemp stage.

Does this sound like a radiator coolant sensor issue? Coolant level is current at max. Not sure if there was a recall about these?

Check temperature sensor which is inbuilt in thermostat housing.

There is a temp sensor recall. Get it to Citroen for a free check and replacement if the part number matches the recall.
