  • Changing front discs advice

    Hi peeps

Came to change the front discs and pads today. Very easy job but had to stop and refit everything as do t have right size Allen key for the back of the frame that holds the piston in place. Biggest I had was a T50. Does any of you know what size it actually is please?? Thank you very much.

I changed mine back in April. Don't recall using any torx sockets that big.

Do you mean the two bolts that hold the brake calipers in place? I'm struggling to recall, but I broke a T35 according to a whatsapp conversation I had with my Uncle (who I borrowed the sockets from) taking the calipers off to replace the discs on the front.

Hi, no the ones on the back. I'm sure there star keys. Tried a T50 but too small.

Yeah, I knew what you meant

You are absolutely right though. Just tried a T50 in mine and it's too small. I'll try and get in touch with my Uncle to see if he knows what we used (what I broke).
