  • LED Daytime lights

I picked up my new DS 3 SoChic (or DStyle on some markets) the other day. Despite that some plasic parts already has fallen off, I do love the car. It's bicolored grey/red and with the 1,6 litre vti petrol engine (120 hp).

However it's impossible to get the LED-lights to work. According to the manual it should be possible to activate them from the display. On this car I can only choose between "running daylights automatically on" or "running daylights off" and that setting activated the normal beams but not the LED-lights.

I have read about the impossibility to have the LED-lights work together with the normal lights on, but this problem is different; I can not activate them at all! I have also checked the fuse box and the fuse is there. So what's the problem?

I bought the car in a neighboring country and it's a bit far to go back there to have them fix it, and locally here they will probably charge as I suspect this is not a warranty issue but rather something that has to do with differnt settings for different countries. (I hope I am wrong of course)

I can not imagine equipping the car with LED-lights and not having a possibility to activate them!

I really appreciate any good ideas of what is wrong.

    Thanks in advance

If you have the myway package you can enable and disable the DRL's through the settings menu. More than likely a similar option on the LED screen if you don't.

If the option isn't there get it back to the dealer. Heard is similar story where the setting had been disabled on the ECU. Easy enough to resolve.

There are only 2 setting on UK spec cars......DLR's on and DLR's off, and as standard the DLR's go OFF as soon as you switch any on the lights on (sidelights , dip beam or main beam)

Sounds Strange, Id Take It To A Citroen Garage, It Shouldn't Matter If You Bought It In A Different Country As It Seems Its A Manufacturers Fault ?...

I was referring to UK spec cars, could well be that he should have sidelights on all the time......there is an option in the Lexia to have sidelights ON with the DLR's (without having the light switch operated) then as soon as you turn the lights on the DLR's go off.....I know that this is a fact and that it works

This car has MyWay package. I live in Sweden where we have to have the ights on daytime. But it's OK to have them traded for LED-lights or something visible instead. The car was bought from Latvia and I do not waht rules they do have.

other than the fact the DRLs on the UK spec are to bright to have on with sidelights?

..... Opinion seems to be that the DLR's are too bright to be on with headlights (dip or main beam) but having the sidelights on with the DLR's only only difference is that there are lights on at the rear of the car along with the LED's
