Washer pump not working

Hi,

I'm having problems with my washer pump but can't seem to find the problem. It's not a blow fuse, that i've checked.
To pump works on and off. On a good day it works. On a bad day it doesn't. If the washers are not working, i can't hear the pump. The back washer always work.

Any idea's?

Sounds like a bad electrical connection, or the pump itself is intermittent.

Are the washer jets blocked? I've had mine iced shut before and didn't hear the pump when trying to wash. It could have been me just not listening close enough though.

Wierd thing is that they work fine after a powerlatch. This is what usually happens:

Damn, can't see a darn thing through my front window, let give it a quick wash.
F#! K, the washers aren't working again.
Stop somewhere and try again. No go. turn ignition off and pull out key.
Wait for a minute or so and turn engine back on.
Great, washers are working again.

Found the problem. Need to have my wipers on auto. Then they always work :O... Still wierd...

Bizarre. Must be a weak connection somewhere.

makes me think the signal from switch is going through a control unit that is messing it all up.
