Stereo Microphone Wiring

can someone confirm that the built in microphone on the ceiling connects directly to the back of the stereo or does it go somewhere else first?

Depends on what kind of radio you have. For the rt6 and smeg models it connects directly. For the rt4 (small screen) it does not.

sorry just seen this message, i wanna upgrade to a 2 din stereo and i would like to use the onboard mic built into the roof, current stereo is a RT4, do you know where the wire leads to from the roof so i can tap into it?
