I had my air conditioning condensor replaced and the scratched the top of the bumper so we decided it would be easier to spray the full bumper (the bottom was trashed) so I paid £80 towards it and they paid the rest for the bits they scratched. I was happy with a full bumper respray for £80 then now it's popped out. Pissed off as I'm £80 down for a fooked bumper. With a little bit of overspray showing it doesn't look like the spray shop took the bumper off so it must have been from when the garage had it off. It never popped out the other day when I drove it but it did twice yesterday. Surely if they knew it was damaged they wouldn't even think of paying to spray it? Can this be fixed easily?

Unfortunately, no those parts can't be repaired. Once broken they lose all strength, so your best option is trying to fabricate a new bracket to attach and hold it all together.
Sounds like you've been messed around with both jobs, overspray is really unprofessional for a bodyshop, and not protecting a bumper if you're going to be working inside the engine bay is stupid.

The bumper is "broke" the plastic is torn out where the lower mounting bracket would hold it on. Which is why it is popping out. That came from the bumper being pulled off without loosening the bracket. But as they say push it back in and tighten the shit out of the 2 bolts and it should hold. It is not uncommon for those to be torn out.Originally posted by cyclone
