Hey since I've had my ds3 I can't get the aux working it says in the manual press the source button a few times but it it does is go between
CD and radio x
Can't agree with BenS. Whether there is a CD in the radio is irrelevant. I would be hooking the radio up to Lexia/Diagbox to check if the Aux input has been enabled for the RD4 radio
Sorry davidDS3 but I am lost now. I'm a bit dim. I bought it secondhand so I don't know if it work previously or weather it had a aftermarket stereo then the normal one put back in
Are you plugging a USB stick or phone into the USB port, or using a 3.5 headphone jack into the AUX?
Also I would pop out the AUX itself, if you get a good grip on it or get your nails behind it and pop it out you will be able to check if the cables are still connected behind, if they are give them a little push in just to be sure and check again.
If USB was plugged in, wouldn't it cycle to USB input as well? I'm sure I saw someone on here with the same issue and it was because they had a CD in at the time.
Tried it out in my own car and with CD in and Aux connected I did in fact have the option to cycle between all three, so I'd look at the socket connections as mentioned above.
I only have the AUX port no USB and I have pulled it out and checked all wired look fine and I have given them Push. I am trying to connect my Samsung s6 edge but aux function isn't coming up
Also I haven't forgot about our pm regarding aftermarket stereo I'll message you tomorrow if OK as I will of finally got it out of my Peugeot ready to go into the ds3. Thanks again
Yep that's not a problem at all, shall await your message.
As for the AUX, very strange, have you tried with a different cable, or tried the cable you are using in another car, just in case the cable has chosen this moment to stop working? Also have you tried playing some music on your phone while plugged in and checked if it will switch to the AUX then?
Thanks for understanding berch I have just unplugged it and replaced it in and tried playing music on my phone and still nothing but I haven't tried anything other than this cable so I'll try another one thanks pm you once I finish work
If Aux isn't showing on the stereo, I'd suggest it's an issue with the stereo, rather than the cable you're using to connect.
I don't use Aux very often but it always showed up when cycling the sources on every DS3 I've driven (Mono A, Mono C, eMyWay and touchscreen), even with no cable plugged in.
