Miles in the tank indicator

has anyone else noticed that once you fill up, if there are over 500 miles worth in the tank the display can only read certain numbers??

Mine always says 509, 524, and 571 always the same, never 508 or 525. Just think thats a bit strange and makes me doubt the accuracy.
