Just did a bit of a engine bay clean up noticed something well strange ..............maybe a peice of induction pipe missing :confused:

Can any one pop out and look at theirs please

I have taken off the little cover flap to get a better shot

My insignia had something similar but the hole was blanked off with a removable cap, never though to find out what it was for

So is it supposed to be a cold air feed ?? someone must know the thing has a top cold air feed from the front but its not connected to the bottom pipe :confused:

the feed goes nowhere only into the engine bay the other must suck in hot air as well ??

Have a look at the Forge Induction kit and you'll see what they've done to resolve this.

I thought the same thing when I first had the lid up. It just doesn't make sense :S

I had a chat with Forge about this and they recon for a new intercooler and induction kit will cost about a grand and thats without fitting..............not sure if its worth just fitting the induction only but the I/C is about 650 then there is fitting on top ...............gets you about 30 upwards bhp without a map

I suppose if you map it you will get 40 maybe but then i recon the I/C cooling will suffer from heatsoak.

For the full benefits of course however with the filter and straight pipes you'll probably see something like 10b out of them without a remap.
