  • fuel gauge doesnt show the correct amount of fuel

Hey guys. I filled up the tank today to the max, but the indicator is still showing 1 bar missing . Anyone know why it's doing this? I filled it up before to the max and it displayed the full tank but this time round it's not. Ive even topped it up passed the clicking sound but displays them same.

    Any ideas guys?

hi, remus, mine was the same when i topped it up with 2 bars missing, then as i drove it it kept coming down now
reading half a tank then put in £12.50 and luckily it showed full. I mentioned it to dealer and he said if there was
anymore problems to take it in and they would at it on the diagnostic machine, so hopefully yous might put its
    self right,

Hi Mick. Thanks for reply. I spoke to my service centre and they said the same thing you mentioned about putting it on the diagnostic machine. Have it booked in but if it sorts it self out i can cancel they said.

      Thanks again for the reply

              Hi
I recently purchase my ds3 and filled my car up a few times showing all bars , but recently it's showing 2 bars short and I filled it up to the point it waz flowing out still no joy,now after a few miles it's down to half a tank filled up again and still showing half tank
Can anyone shed light on my problem,I got it booked in next week but hoping I can sort it out myself before then

I had a feeling this was due to over filling messing the gauge up..... I'm sure someone with better memory will be along shortly

this - I believe it's past the second "click".

I Always fill up to next full £ after first "click" and never had any issues & shows a full tank

                      Hi,
I would just like to update that car been to dealers and it's all sorted now,the problem was I was filling my car with small amounts of fuel.
I should let mt gauge drop to 3 bars before I fill up instead of topping it when it's nearly full.
As the gauge doesn't recognised small amounts going in.
I am going to put this to the test and see what happens.
Will let you know the outcome
                      Regards

i had the same issue with a C3 I had as a courtsey car. As I was only having it for a day I put about £8 in and the fuel gauge didnt move. Later on, being a bit worried and with the guage going down, put another £10 in
and it shot up loads! And Citroen got there car back with a nice ammount of fuel in it.....
