Depollution system fault???

Just got this error showing up yesterday on a drive back from a customer site. Engine management light has come on but car has not gone into limp mode as the turbo still kicks in at 2000rpm.

Any ideas anyone? I suspect it is due to the upgraded turbo and sports cat now fitted.

More like definately!!! Funny that it took over 750 miles to show up. I think I'll get my VI monitor plugged in and see what it's complaining about.

Having looked around some of the other Citroen forums, it appears that this is a common fault on both Citreons and Pugs. The common advice seems to be ignore it and it will most likely go away!!!! Will see if my VI monitor can give me more info before I reset it.

It's a hybrid with new internals. You cannot physically replace the turbo casing as it is part of the manifold. Taking it up to Viezu soon for them to dyno it. I suspect the fault will dissappear once the mapping is set to the new components.

This might be the route of your problem, I'm guessing that you have not adjusted the ECU to compensate for the new turbo?

Hi Biggie, Suspect you are right on with this. The turbo internals are all new with a much bigger intercooler for the intake and the exhausts being pushed out through a sports cat. I have had a chat with the Veizu guys n' gal's and they feel the same way. Oddly enough my return journey from the station tonight and the error had gone. Most people might work in the assumption that it is great it has gone but I would still like to know if it is simply a mapping issue or the ECU had to figure out some new parameters. If the latter then my hats off to the base programming. Incedently no limp mode in the slightest - although my left foot might qualify! This is now a monster and it powers through the rev's from 2000rmp without effort or loss of power untill around 7000rpm. Change up and all h3ll is unleased again. Due at Viezu in a week or 3. I will post the results when / if I get them.
