Black Side Trim.. thing..

last night while driving home from work.. heard a loud rumbling/scraping kinda noise coming from the rear right hand side of the car... had no idea what it could be..

Turned out to be the black plastic side trim thats just below the body!

I've attached a picture..

It was attached at point B but trailing along the floor at point A

Do you think Citroen will fix it under warranty.. because it literally just... fell off!

In answer to your question then yes they should, sounds like the clips have failed which has caused the trim to fall. Check in with your dealer for a a fix.

Nearly died when it happened because it was such an odd noise. Was kinda relieved if I'm honest that it was just the trim

We were on a single carriageway bridge at the time so had to drive to the end of the bridge.. which was like torture!

Did Citroen fix it for you or did you do it yourself?

At the side of the road I just moved one of the clips from the centre of the trim, to the end which had fallen off.. So hopefully that'll hold until we get to Citroen

All My Clips Snapped So They've Had To Order New Clips In...

They Wouldn't Do it under Warranty So They Said I'll Have To Pay "A Bit Of Maintenance"...

Any Idea Of What This Might Cost Me Biggie ?

I'd imagine the clips are not expensive and you would look about half an hours labour at least.

Exactly the same happened to me: had to pull over straight away and the trim was still attached in the same place as yours. I couldn't get it off so ended up calling the Roadside Assistance and the AA arrived within 25 minutes. I was quite impressed with the service from AA; the trim was removed, only problem was it wouldn't fit in the boot so had to have the back seats flat ... booked it in with my Citroen dealer and it was repaired under warranty free of charge. The fasteners had completely snapped off; for no apparent reason but I am now more careful when going over speed bumps etc, (on the day it happened I hadn't even been over any!!)
