Citroen ds3 recall letter received in the post

In the post yesterday I received a letter from Citroen/VOSA about a recall of my vehicle "subject to an operation to replace the battery earth cable to avoid a break in the power supply to the engine which may cause the engine to cut out".

I was just wondering how many others had received this and if applicable how long the work took to carry out?

I bought my DS in March 2011 ...

(Mine's a Special Edition 1.6HDI in Black and chrome - I love it, twice the car my BMW 1 Series was!!)

The recall is also affecting C3's as my father has a new C3 and has the same recall.

My DS3 has just this minute broken down and all electrics have shut off!

Ahh sucks. The same thing happened to a friends focus but ford refused to fix it and as it stands is a death trap of waiting for the engine to cut out at 70. Anyhow hoping I can tie this in with my first service. Not that I've got the letter yet

That sounds like the MLY recall I had about a month ago (old post on here somewhere about it). It's taking them some time to write to everybody. Make sure the garage actually has the part in stock before you go in. I had a wasted journey on my first booking.
