Hi strange question, Our doors lock automatically after 6mph, if i have a crash and some one is trying to rescue me do the doors unlock on impact?
This big crash on the M5 got me thinking.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you have any sort of semi-serious crash where you need someone to rescue you - chances are your doors will be un-openable anyway - regardless as to whether they are locked or not.
I bought myself a emergency hammer to keep in glove box, just incase the worst happens, as alot of the time the seat belt jams after a crash. Also like metalmorgan said, sometimes the doors jam in a accident anyway, so if everyone had a emergency hammer you could break the window if the doors jammed. In some contries in europe its legal requirement to carry one in the car I think, I think it should be here aswell.

guys i believe in a impact where airbags are deployed the lock automaticlly disconnects, also most of the ambulances i work on have emergency glass hammers on them so if we need to get to you asap then we can put a window in to gain access. To have an RTC as big as what happened on the M5 and presenting so many problems is very rare.
