  • Idle vibration

Just covered 3k now since getting my HDI 110. Yesterday I noticed it had developed a 'vibration', just when the car is idling at junctions or lights. Strangely it doesn't happen when first firing up the car. Vibration shakes the whole car, its not coming through the steering wheel or pedals.. Anyone else experienced this?

I only have this when my airconditioning is on when it's really hot outside, but at this time of the year your ac is probably off so i don't think it's normal.

I take it this happens at 'idle' only?

Either your car is set to idle too low or the engine is being starved of fuel - go and get it check out with your dealer.

I only notice it at idle as I am at a standstill. The rev needle holds steady, with no 'wobble' so am guessing the fuel supply is OK? Not too worried about it, but may take it to the dealer. Thanks

Possibly a dodgy flywheel. I had a VW that used to shake at idle...turned out to be flywheel.
