Clunking Window

There is another post about this guys, the clunk is normal and nothing to worry about.

The noise happens when the window hits the top of it's travel, the 'clunk' is the window hitting the stopper.

Nah it dont....on my windows get a clunk after its hits the stopper about 20 seconds later lol.

So you get a noise after the windows has been closed and you have let go of the button?

Yep deffo biggie quite a noticeable clunk aswell !!!

Is there any sign of the window glass moving when the clunk happens or any noise from the winder motor?

this went away completely on mine for over 6 months and now all of a sudden its back again but much louder and on both windows. It doesn't bother me

No movement of the glass or motorwinder Bigggy sounds like a deadlock or thats what i keep telling myself it is lol.

Right have has a chat with the Techs and after a bit of debate the best possible answer is that the window regulator 'slips' when it has reached the top of it's travel which may cause the 'clunk' noise. The regulator is the scissor like device which raises the window, it is bolted to the door but apparently it can become lose.

Best advice, pop the door card off and tighten the bolts that hold the regulator to the door and this should, in theory, stop the noise.

Errrrrm think i will leave mine alone Biggy can't be arsed taking panels off to be honest.....Quite like the clunk to be honest another characteristic i havn't had to pay for lol.
