  • 1st service day - corroding baguettes and oily film on engine

    anyone else for corrosion?

what appears to be tiny rust spots beginning to appear despite my careful washing and polish protection - dealer photographed at the service today for record purposes at my request.

will post a pic tomorrow if I they haven't rubbed them all off!

Also asked them to document a very very slight oily film on the top of the engine - diagnosed as being from a leak in the PCP pipe fitting which they will replace. No issues to date with turbo drop out or anything..........oh I wish I hadn't said that!

Anyway 17000 trouble free, and enjoyable miles so far - 20 on unsalted icy back roads this morning - dare I mention how good 'winter' tyres are? Almost had to overtake a young guy in an Audi TT who looked to be frightening himself

    best car I've ever owned

    The Old One
Bog standard 2010 DSport THP150, 1973 Clan Crusader, 2003 Harley Davidson Softail, 2007 Vespa 250GTS, 2011 Peugeot Boxer campervan ,a few push bikes, and one eMTB
