  • Aftermarket Parking sensors...?

Parking sensor issues - The sensors on these cars are pants. All 4 of mine are faulty (according to Citroen) and I'm not paying the silly price they quoted to replace all 4. I'm thinking of just sticking on an aftermarket set as some work really well.

If I put on an aftermarket set will I still get that annoying service fault on the dash etc..? Or is there a way to stop this? Think the fuse for the sensors are used for other things to so I can't just remove that. I'm assuming you can't just wire up aftermarket sensors to the original parking sensor loom?

Mine just don't work. I get a beep then the parking assistance faulty message. All 4 sensors came back as faulty. Codes:

    FBC6
    FBC7
    FBC8
    FBC9

Now one thing that was noticed was mine had come from a different car. They look white in places so may have been sprayed black to match my colour.

When I put in the part number on a search I also come up with an L Shaped sensor but none of mine are L shaped. They are just a flat looking sensor.

I can't be chewed to mess around paying anyone else to diagnose them or pay the silly premium for a genuine set.
