  • Mirrors folding with central locking

I'm guessing there must be a way to stop the mirrors folding when you lock the car, seems like a bit of a security flaw if not.
Does anyone know if it's possible and how it's done?

    Cheers

I know you can stop them unfolding when you unlock by folding them in with the switch before locking.

Not too sure about the reverse, don't see any situation where you would need to do it.

It just seems really obvious when the car is locked/unlocked. Not an issue really but it'd be nice to be able to have the choice. I have seen ds3s that don't do it but I'm not sure if they had electric folding mirrors at all (I'm not 100% clued up on the different specs)

I find this a plus, I can be sure I've locked it just by looking at the mirrors. If some less than reputable types are near enough to see the mirrors, then they're going to be trying car doors anyway.

I'd rather have then fold in on lock than not.

As you say though, not all ds3s have folding mirrors, so it's not a given that mirrors out = unlocked.

You would need the service tool to set automatic folding/unfolding of the mirrors.

As said, your dealer can disable this feature but I like it, means I can check the car is locked with a glance.
