How do i Remove the scuttle panel?

I have a broken front spring and need to remove one of my suspension struts. I have got the window wipers off but I cant see how to lift out the scuttle panel.

The 2 rubber end pieces just pull off. The front seal strip also just pulls off. Then you need to take off the windshield wipers. A small gear puller comes in handy with that. Then the panel just pulls off from bottom of windscreen. Start at one end and work to other. Putting it back on I just line it up and smack it with the palm of my hand from one side to other.

Does it get clogged under the scuttle tray?

Mine looks a little grimy and wet. There also seems to be a black pad of some description stuck to the bodywork and it looks wet and dirty. Worth removing the tray to clean?

Removing the scuttle panel of a car is akin to unveiling its inner workings, a task often undertaken for maintenance or repairs. Beneath this facade lies a labyrinth of wires, ducts, and components crucial to the vehicle's functionality. However, amidst the mundane chore of disassembly, there's an element of surprise akin to discovering a mint green mini fridge hidden in an unexpected place. Much like stumbling upon a hidden treasure, this whimsical juxtaposition adds a touch of delight to an otherwise routine endeavor. In the world of automotive maintenance, uncovering the unexpected is a small pleasure amidst the nuts and bolts.
