  • Stereo, Radio, CD, Sat Nav screen

Does anyone else have a problem with their radio / CD with the sat nav screen , where for the first few miles and with every gear change the radio/cd cuts out and screen can sometimes go blank? It's as if something needs warming up before it decides to work properly.

It may be totally unrelated but at the same time the radio cuts on and off sometimes the speedo needle and rev countwr needle drops around 5mph then jumps back up again. No loss of power when it happens. After 10mins everything works as it should and both radio (shite reception anyway) and the speedo work fine as if there was never an issue in the first place.

are these two things likey to be related or is it just a coincidence?

Citreon couldn't find any fault with the speedo dipping and just mentioned it might need new clocks at some stage if it continues. Seems a stab in the dark to me. They also said there's an update for the stereo but it's not guaranteed to fix the cutting in and out. At £47 for this update it's a bit of a kick in the ****.

Sounds like a loose connection somewhere.

Who knows. The fact it went into Citroen to get diagnosed and cane out the same at a cost of £90 pees me off and makes me reluctant to take anywhere else. They did a health check also when it was there so you'd think they would have had the time to diagnose it as a faulty wire.

90 pounds sounds like the amount to connect it to the computer and look at the faults. Only a 5min job, they are better paied than doctors, those silly machanics.

I Had similar issue with my Satnav/ Stereo. I rang my local dealership and they advised it was probably in need of a software update. They did the update and not had an issue since (this was only a few weeks ago). They never charged a penny either as luckily my local dealership are fairly friendly.

Although I never had an issue with the Speedo dipping so would assume this probably unrelated.

I used the part number they gave me for the CD and ordered online. Updated it yesterday and still does it.
