Hello again!
Once again the DS3 is having issues which meant it's been dumped at the side of the road and replaced with a hire car...
Under acceleration up a hill the car was pulling fine from 30 up to 60 mph, maybe 1/2 on the accelerator; However, at ~50-55mph the car suddenly stops accelerating and begins to slow.
No warning lights, nor fault codes have come up on the scanner or dash.
The car struggled to maintain let alone accelerate after this mishap. I made it to the left hand side of the motorway and onto the grass verge. I restarted the car without any issues. I then tried to pull away and it felt like it had no boost from the turbo until after i'd reach 30mph in gear 2, i can't remember the engine rpm. But after the boost came back it seemed okay until the car dropped off boost. It would then take a while to come back.
I'm thinking either VNT or throttle position sensor not working correctly... the car is at 70,000 miles. Has anyone had this before, know what could be causing it?
This has happened many times over the life of the car but the cause has never been found. Citroen thought the actuator for the VNT was sticking on a previous occasion...
