Thermostat Sensor Recall.

A couple of years ago I had a recall for a thermostat sensor on my '11 DS3.

It was good timing because I was having issues with the car pulling away and struggling / stalling. The recall fixed this problem.

I now have the same problem again and was wondering if the part used in the recall was in fact the same flawed component only new.

Has anyone experienced this issue or know if the sensor problem was actually fixed?

The replacement part should have been an entirely new design, had mine done outside of warranty and it requires a new housing, wiring loom, and the new thermostat itself.

Could you ask the garage for the part number they used and then the one they would use to fix? Just as a cross reference. That way you would know if it could be becuase it was like for like replaced and could be the reason, or if was the newer one and has just gone again.

By chance, was the car struggling at lower speeds? Mine seems to be having the same issue. I've got an automatic so not sure if it is the same issue!
