  • How to fit aftermarket gear knob?

    Greetings,

I'd like to replace my gear knob with an aftermarket one, upon searching for gear knob removal I've found that recent PSA cars in general don't use a screw mechanism for the gear knob and instead some locking one that looks like this:

Anyone has any idea if under that "cap" there is a screw or any other way to install the typical after market knobs (sparco, momo, ...)?
I've seen other DS3 with after market knobs before but I didn't asked them about how they fit it back then and can't find anywhere how it's done.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards.

Thank you, I've seen that thread and is handy indeed, what I'm trying to find is if that knob stick mounting thing can come off to perhaps expose a scree under it or something that can be changed to mount a screwing knob.

Fire a PM over to Harry He might be able to help you out. (he's HANENG18)

If you are on Instagram he's harry_southworth,

Would be a good one to crack, I'm sure lots fancy an aftermarket one but have been a bit stumped when it came to it.

I have messaged him, thank you for the help!
I fancy the one he created perhaps I'll try to buy one from him (with some tweaks)

I just pulled upwards really hard. Keep your face out the way, it's going to go quick when it releases

Thanks for the reply but my question wasn't really how to remove the original one but how to install a knob with a screwing mechanism instead of that push/pull that comes standard.
