  • EP6DT PCV Breather instead of catch can

    Good Day guys/gals,

Its been a while since I've last posted here and nearly 4 years later I still have my DS3 THP 155. After a total engine failure and rebuild afterward and a few new performance modifications I have 3 questions for you guys:

    1. In an effort to reduce carbon buildup on the intake ports (I kno it can't be stopped due to the nature of Direct injection) due to the Front PCV and ventilation of oil back into the intake of the motor, I was considering removing the ventilation pipe and instead use a breather. Is this safe and would it help?

    2. Use a proper oil catch can (Like the one from Forge)?

    3. What fuel additives would you recommend to keep my injectors clean (Is SA the highest octane available is 95)?

    Regards

Use a OCC to catch all the bad stuff and put a breather on that OCC. A THP 155 has two PCV pipes. Try reading my other posts and reaction like the ones from czar and make your mind up about it. Not going to get into that discussion again...
