Is it just my car or does anyone else have problems with sounding ad though it's revving too much even at the slightest press on the accelerator

Isn’t it supposed to rev when you press the accelerator? I’ve been doing it wrong all these years!

Can you post a video to demonstrate what you mean?

The electronic throttle is slow to react, and modern throttles are designed to react more at small inputs and tail off with foot flat to the floor. Just touch it gently and wait for the revs to pick up half a second later rather than keep pressing when nothing happens initially. If you've only ever driven mechanical wire-controlled throttles before then it will feel different.

I'm assuming you're seeing the revs spike on the tachometer too, as well as it "sounding as though it's revving too much"?

The throttle response depends on the engine/generation of the DS3. My old THP150 had a very different throttle response than my new THP165. Both rev up nicely but the old one didn't "stay" up at all and the new one kind of keeps the revs up for a moment when you release the pedal. On idle of course.
