  • DS3 Repairs

Hi, Please help! i bumped my DS3 into a bollard the other day and it has caused some damage to the car. Please see the below details of whats damaged.

    - Front passenger side DR Lights has fallen out of the case into the bumper.
    - Bumper has pushed back into the passenger wing which has in turn pushed the wing into the drivers door area by a couple of milometers - as this is the case the passenger door catches on the wing.

Generally the bumper looks ok, however can anyone give me a rough estimate of how much i am looking at to get the parts repaired/replaced? and/or if someone can point me in the directions of any instructions.

    TIA

Photos attached - in the photos the DRL is in pace although this was only with duct tape from the back and has since fallen out again.

    Cheers.

I think we'd all be guessing as to costs and work required - for e.g the bumper might look ok but it has a number of plastic sections that push into the wing/bodywork, if those are broken you might be looking at a new bumper/spray before you get to to the broken casing for the drl. Next your looking at the wing and how much it's moved, can it be re-aligned easily or does it need to come off and be replaced/resprayed...

I'd take it to an independent bodywork specialist in your area for a quote (try calling your local citroen dealer and see where they take the stock cars for cosmetic repairs as well). With the little info we know you could be looking at four figures for repairs/labour. Equally it might be a lot less

Agreed with LFC. It's quite difficult to estimate from the pictures. Get it to some quality body shop repairers near to you and get a few quotes, then depending on what they say, will depend if you wanna go down the insurance route or not. All depends on cost and what your policy covers, no claims discount etc etc.
